JAERV receives grant from Kulturrådet (The Arts Council)
In November Jaerv received 40 000 SEK from Kulturrådet. It is a great support and gives Jaerv new possibilities to continue creating and performing their music!

The OK Factor (USA) receives grant for touring w. JAERV in Sweden
Last week, the wonderful string duo from Minneapolis, The OK Factor (www.theokfactor) received a $10 000 grant from the Scandinavian Folk Arts & Cultural Traditions Artist Fellowship which means that they are coming to Sweden 2021 for a tour together with Jaerv. They will also learn Swedish folk music from us and go back to the Midwest and spread their newly acquired knowledge.

JAERV - Midsummer´s concert from Mollösund at SVT
We are proud to announce that JAERV will be a part of the yearly Midsummer's Concert on Swedish National Television (SVT 1) on Midsummer's Eve June 19 at 8 pm (GMT +2). Two days ago we recorded for 10 hours on this beautiful spot in Mollösund together with some very talented artists.

Music in Älvsborg in collaboration with Göteborg International Organ Academy present the GIOA Quarantine Concerts series of live streamed concerts for all who are at home and longing for live music. Simultaneously, we offer an opportunity for freelance musicians to perform in this period when almost all concerts are cancelled.
Warmly welcome to Älvsborg’s church Tuesday May 26 for a concert with the vocal and instrumental quintet JAERV. It is going to be an exciting and captivating encounter with folk music influenced by many different genres and styles, wirling improvisations including hamonium and organ.

The award-winning Swedish quintet Jaerv, present an extroverted, vigorous and heartfelt folk music with influences from both jazz and pop music. Together, the five members have created a homogeneous, vivid sound which has established Jaerv on the folk music scene as well as in many other forums. Rooted in several different musical traditions, Jaerv offers a varied stage performance where vocal, five-voiced tunes blend in with energetic dances and free improvisations. Jaerv is an internationally well-known act and has toured the U.S., Japan, Spain, Scotland, Ireland, Finland and Norway among other countries. Their discography includes Inrikes (2009), Vol 2 (2014) and the critically acclaimed album Under den linden (2016).

Japanese guitarist Jun Saito performs the song "Jaerv"
Our dear friend and master guitar player Jun Saito wrote a piece called “Jaerv” for our most recent tour in Japan, where we had the favor of touring together with Jun.
